COntent skill
One skill I have learned this year is how to use the power rule to complete simple derivatives. I am choosing this because I was able to figure out the rule before it was explained. The power rule allows your to take the derivative in the same way that a limit definition does but much quicker. An example of the power rule is below.
Problem solving skills
generating ideas
I believe that I struggle sometimes when it come to generating ideas for solving problems. This is not because I have no ideas it just because I am sometimes very unsure if they will lead me in the right direction. An example of this is POW 5 which is passed on probability which I have always had trouble with. I had a couple idea on what might work but never tried any of them because I was not confident in them. The flip side of this is that sometimes I have many ideas and work on them to see if they actually work this happens more frequently when I am working in a subject that I am more comfortable in such as optimizing functions like in POW 4. One thing I could do to improve my consistency with generating solutions is that if I have more belief in the ideas that I am having.
